I ran everything within the Troubleshooting page, right up to uninstalling Mail and reinstalling from the Store. Windows 10 and all Store apps are now up to date they should have been anyway as auto updates have always been on.

Trying Powershell, it uninstalled fine. When re-adding I got a huge stream of red text saying things like below and I find Mail is not installed. Therefore, I installed Mail again from Microsoft Store and was back to the same problem. Finally, I created another Windows user and set up Mail again - exactly the same problem.

I can't send or receive from the Mail app on my PC, but I can from the web or the Outlook app on my phone. Well, aside from marking the issue as unresolved, my post above says exactly what I tried and what the outcome was. Basically i followed everything you suggested but the problem remains. Happy to post system logs, etc if you can let me know what would be useful and where to find them.
